I've got a ty175 1979 after my dad passed away

I brought some new levers as old ones are a bit of a finger trap ,put new one on clutch and after putting new lever on clutch does not disengage, so I put original lever back on and still clutch will not disengage would any of you have any idea what I have managed to mess up

Possibly the cable if there is no return spring operation, the cable operates a very simple cam mechanism that is not prone to failure but works a lot better with routine cleaning and lubrication.  Nothing works as good as a new cable so that is a good start if the one on there now is old.

All sorted thanks was told to start bike hold clutch in and put in gear and keep dabbing back brake as its a wet clutch the plates can swell and stick 👍🏻

Not many are dry clutch, when did you change the oil last?  Clutch plates are rubberized cork which swells in the presence of gasoline or water, not so much in clean oil.
