sueossap
Just bought a 2014 TR280i with an explorer conversion kit 1) how do you connect the explorer tank to fuel system 2) does anyone have the part number for the easy start system as the one supplied doesn’t look correct ? thanks
konrad
Part number for the Easy Start system is 1160030214. There were at least two different versions of the printed circuit board manufactured, but the changes were nothing a typical rider would care about. More information here: https://www.ossa-efi.com/home/electrics/easy-start P.S.That's cool to convert the trials model into an Explorer as you'll have the superior suspension components. sueossap
Thanks so much any idea about how the bigger tank connects to the original system , I have it on but confused how it works in tandem ?
konrad
The person to ask is Lotus54. My guess is that the Explorer tank somehow drains into the M10 x 1.0 port on the right side of the standard tank. There is a pic of a fuel level gauge I made shown here: https://www.ossa-efi.com/home/my-upgrades/minor-modifications It used the aforementioned M10 x 1.0 port.

lotus54
I’ve had two Explorers, currently have a very low hour one. I am not sure the port in the fuel tank is drilled on the TR. Easy mod- BUT you have to pull the engine so you can pull fuel pump etc.

lotus54
Yes, it is tricky figuring exactly twists and turns to get engine in. At least it is light (I weighed at 36 lbs - 16kg). That is one thing I did not like about the design, even though I never had to pull fuel pump or filter out in hundreds of hours, it is not easy. I always filtered the fuel- just in case. It would have been interesting to see engine installation done at the factory.
