Ty175 Bars

I don't have the original bars, they were bent about 10 years before I was born lol.. But, when they were bent my Dad replaced them with RENTAL bars and they have a great feel to them IMO.

Here are a few pics of mine.. hope it will help you get an idea

(the bike is at the cottage right now so I can't take a measurement at the moment, sorry):

I can measure mine later if you like, but here's a pic or two.

I reckon that they're 7" or more at least or the rise angle is steeper than modern bars.

I fitted the Majesty I have with modern 6" Renthals, which are braced.........but don't seem as high as the old ones

Have a look on the BVM web-site they list bars from Renthal, Apico, Domino/Tomaselli etc but I do not recall any of them being as high as those 70s bars.

I do not think Renthal have made bars without the cross brace for a long time.

Slightly lower bars and lowered footrests would give back the original riding position but would improve the overall handling.
