nitjay - hrc
The oil Filler Plug on my Sy250 is rounded off so i can't get it out. Iam going to have to take it somewhere for them to get it out as i dont have the know how or tools (probably) to do it. But i was wondering how you get out things like this that are rounded off, what sort of process the professionals are likely to use. Thanks Nj
andy_290
My sump plug was rounded off by the previous owner, it needed some work doing at Lampkins and they sorted it for me, they use special tools, or grind/hacksaw a slot into them and undo with a screwdriver
boofont
Do you mean the plastic filler screw?
hoodie2
If you mean the drain plug, mine's the same. I was going to try taking the sump plate off and filing the faces of the hex head until they fit the next metric socket size down, which I think will be 11mm. If anyone has a better idea I'd love to hear it. Good luck anyway.
boofont
If memory serves me right the sump plug is 13mm. I had the same on mine, I hammered a 12mm socket on it. Some people weld various things on to help too.

dabnabit
USE A SIX POINT SOCKET! And you'll never round it out.
