konrad
I downloaded a large version of the JPG. You can clearly see a gear-change lever!

We’ve been discussing it on another forum. And yes the first thing I pointed out is that it has a Clutch and a Gear lever. I think it looks fantastic, but as we have all said, boy is it expensive! Nigelpugh
Also did anyone else spot this subtle brand change ? Honda RTL Trials bike It looks like last year some time in the 2023 model year of bikes, Honda branded three of its Trials bikes as RTL and not Montesa. Did anyone else notice this? Nigelpugh
The other news is that the Honda RTL trials bike shares its engine with the Honda Electric CRF motorcross bike.

Although I am not so sure, as both motors look very different in the images above. Also the Honda CRF electric motocross bike is liquid cooled, I can’t see a radiator on the images of the Honda RTL electric trials bike. Also if you do some digging the Honda RTL ( engine ICE not electric motor version ) has some nice subtle differences from the Montesa models. micm
I don't think there will a be Repsol Oil Company version! and er, it looks a bit chunky to me, so hope it's not RTL 4T weight of 74 KG like the EM.

Yep I think that ship has sailed when they announced the end of that partnership!
konrad
The trials bike looks heavy. Although I am heartened to see a gear-change lever. I feel having a gearbox is the way forward for electric trials bikes. I have mixed feelings about the conventional clutch. I liked it on my 4RT as it was zero-maintenance and had a fine feel. But a small diaphragm clutch is much lighter. To me, the motocross bike looks better suited to its intended purpose. And, like the Stark Varg, the MX bike has no gearbox.
