Desired coolant temperature 09 txt pro 250cc

Hello , my 09 pro is a pig to start when the fan is on.

The previous owner fitted an inline stat, this stat switches on and off at 68c , 67c, so it's hysteresis is very low.

I have a stat in the top of the  radiator also,  it switches on at 69c and off at 55c.

Which stat would be better to use? Is 55 , 69 a correct running temp?

Thank you Gary

Trials motors generally run hotter than other competition 2Ts to improve fuel vaporization and throttle response while sacrificing some loss of charge density.

5 to 10 degrees C of hysteresis is fairly typical.

@garydwall the inline one is the early version of the pro and the one located at the top of the radiator is the middle/ 2nd version of the series either will work but a 09 pro had the thermostat fitted in the radiator at the top right corner where the coolant enters the rad from the cylinder head but either will work. Later versions have the thermostat located at the bottom of the rad on the left hand side.
