sy250
Anyone know which way up the head gasket goes on a Rev 3 please ? I'm trying to change one, have the new one, but can't make my mind up which way up to position it, or if it matters. Never seen a head gasket quite like it as it's springy and has indents in it around the water channels. Head and Barrel mating surfaces look about the same to me. Most baffling. Another "slight" problem - Is there a recommended torque setting for the head bolts ? Don't know how I'll get a torque wrench on some of the bolts but ..... Thanks a lot for reading this and thanks once again if you can offer any advice
kinell
Is there a little square'ish tab on the outside edge? If yes, I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that it should face the carb...
sy250
Thank you for your help. Spoke to Beta UK this morning . Apparently the gasket can go on either way up but the tab on it faces forward. I must say that they are a brilliant firm to deak with. Fast, very helpful and parts very reasonable prices. I would recommend anybody to buy a Beta after my experiences. Thanks again
