I would like to change needle  on my 21 300 R   It seems to be lean 1/4 to 1/2  throttle

any recommended  jetting and needles

It would be great if jetting were that simple as in reality there are many variables that need to be considered  , this is why some people rave on about Efi  but that has its own problems at times. To start with have you lifted the needle by lowering the clip into the slot down from  where it was when you found it lean and tested that.

Well you are correct on that stock it is lean. All the bikes stock come lean from the factory. The Gas Gas forum had a lot of that info. It all depends where you are from as the fuels can be different. Seems in the .U.K. they were big on changing the slides on the pwk. But I think they also showed a different needle. In the states we usually just increase the pilot size, but our fuel is different and we ride higher elevations.

Hopefully someone replies with a thought on the needle.

Yes I know about how to jet.

What I really asking is there a needle that works better than the standard one. Some riders really like .

Sorry I did not understand that . Please forgive me. Best wishes Alan.
