joandemma
How much does a tyre have to lose its edge before grip in muddy conditions is affected. My back Michelin has about 3mm radius on front of knobbles and just doesn't grip in mud, unlike my mates beta with new Dunlop fitted. dale
Hi, before you buy a new tyre just turn it in the opposite direction and give it a try,you got nothing to lose and a few months more use
rapid roy
i would rather have a used x11 michelin than a new dunlop tyre

lewis_gasgas
What bike you on ? Ive found that the rev 3s grip alot better in the slippy mud than say gassers (which is what i ride) dunno why like but they do ...ive got a michelin on the back of mine and the front of the nobbles have started to go round and im flipping the tyre round soon . You cant really say how much , when you will loose grip because it depends on the mud conditions really.

thumps
As soon as the edges have worn down you lose grip. They only last a few trials and there pretty useless in bad conditions. And also when a tyre has been used say twice theres a big difference between the grip on a new tyre. marky g
It's all in your head !, just get on with it Some guys are well paranoid about tyre wear, I've seen tyres that have just about had the edge's took off thrown in the skip because there 'worn out'....fine if your name is dougie lampkin but your average club joe ?
