Gas Gas ID and parts help

Hi everyone,

I've bought a cheap trials bike for getting into trials and also wanted to learn a bit about getting on the spanners as I've never really dare touch stuff on my enduro bike beyond very basic maintenance. I was hoping5.thumb.jpg.1e5386866ce61e01f6c00d65859ca788.jpg4.thumb.jpg.dec5ce7b11cc0f79e200d15ef8ef9fc6.jpg3.thumb.jpg.fe1d2698aa1b1c2fb0547d3437f9e197.jpg2.thumb.jpg.7dbf3063844d001fe01932e1c615a314.jpg1.thumb.jpg.a97a40f2fe51247302972a86bab87d3c.jpg stuff would be easier to fix compared to my modern enduro bike (way too many electrics and parts for me to understand lol).

Anyway, I bought a GasGas 300 TXT 2005. However now I have it home it looks like a mixture of bikes (doh - i'll probably do more research next time). To be fair I don't think the seller really knew either.

It appears to have a Raga frame (I've checked the Vin which confirms this) and engine casings but the rear end looks like a standard txt. From what I can tell the Raga had a magnesium colured swingarm which mine doesn't. Also the rear shock is Sachs not Ohlins which I think the Raga had.

Given the bike is a mixture I was hoping someone could identify the forks for me so I can get the correct bushings and seals for a service?

There also appears to be something weird going on with the carb intake. Its almost like they have attached an extra piece of rubber on the airbox to make it join the carb. Could this be to do with the fact it has a different rear end? The carb is literally rubbing the engine case which surely can;t be right either..

I've been looking online and parts seem hard to come by. Do more modern parts tend to fit these older models? What other year parts can I typically look at which should fit?

Appreciate thats a bit of a info dump. Any help is much appreciated

Fairly common for the GasGas swingarm to break where the bolt for the brake caliper goes through it, so not unlikely for it to have been changed but it would be a direct replacement between a standard model and the Raga.
GasGas from that era had Marzocchi forks, fairly certain the Raga was no different.
Standard GasGas had a Dellorto carb - Raga I think had the Keihin so there would have been an adaptor or different rubber between airbox and Carby. Nice use of an innertube by the previous owner.
Anything GasGas from 02 to 08 should fit, into 09 the frame changed so there might be differences.

the Keihin carb should attach directly to the airbox rubber, no adapter.  But it can be a pain in the ass to do.

the adapter was for the smaller diameter Dellorto.

GasGas Pro models 03 - 08 frame attached parts should fit

GasGas Pro models 03 - 15 Engine parts should be interchangeable (Possibly as late as 2021, but not positive)
