Finishing off in the pub with a pint and some grub was a nice touch and ended the day perfectly. When are the Regs out for next year? I couldn't stick around as long as I'd have liked because of the trip home, but it was my first Trial in Yorkshire on the East side of the A1 and it was a great location. Drove down yesterday, not in any hurry and was well impressed by the scenery - no, it's not as impressive as the Highlands of Scotland (but then I'm biased!) but it is nice. Stayed in the Millburn Arms in Rosewell Abbey last night and can recommend it to anyone thinking of going to the Colonial next year. Nice wee village hotel with good beer and fantastic food. Reasonably priced too and only couple of minutes from the start. And no - I'm not on a backhander! I know the organisers had a very long, hard day and I must thank them (again) for getting their results to me so quickly. When there are photos folk want to know who did what.
