Congratulation to Ian Austermuhle on a good win on his home ground national trial for the second year running. As Andy says it was a bitter cold day for the observers and all the other helpers on a well run trial

I was cold for the last couple of hours so god knows how the Observers must have felt stood in one spot

Well done and a BIG thanks to Eboracum Club, great trial, well marked out (even though I got lost twice). Finishing off in the pub with a pint and some grub was a nice touch and ended the day perfectly.

When are the Regs out for next year? :(

Yeah- congrats to Ian and well done to Eboracum for a great Trial. I couldn't stick around as long as I'd have liked because of the trip home, but it was my first Trial in Yorkshire on the East side of the A1 and it was a great location.

Drove down yesterday, not in any hurry and was well impressed by the scenery - no, it's not as impressive as the Highlands of Scotland (but then I'm biased!) but it is nice. Stayed in the Millburn Arms in Rosewell Abbey last night and can recommend it to anyone thinking of going to the Colonial next year. Nice wee village hotel with good beer and fantastic food. Reasonably priced too and only couple of minutes from the start.

And no - I'm not on a backhander!

I know the organisers had a very long, hard day and I must thank them (again) for getting their results to me so quickly. When there are photos folk want to know who did what. Hopefully they're enjoying a few well-earned pints right now

Another great effort from the Ebor Club. Lets not forget all those folk who stand out on the roadsides & gateways. Their role is just as important if we are to continue to enjoy our Trials in & around Rosedale.
