Evening all,

Looking for some advice / images on how to clean up and strip out some electrical excess bits from my new Mont.

There are various forum comments and suggestion online on switching some bits out, but I can't find a simple/conclusive summary?

From what I can tell:

- Remove catch can (not sure on what to do with the vent hoses)

- Remove Bank Angle Sensor

- Smaller Condenser

- Carbon reg rec bracket

- Consolidate earth wires?

If anyone has any pictures or clear instructions, would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Scott

Those sound like some really bad ideas to me having owned and rode a lot of 4RT'

A better heat shield for the header pipe would be good before you melt a bunch of riding pants on it and upgraded foot pegs work better compared to stock.

Smaller Condenser 🤔 why?

Airbox and drain works great, why mess with it?

Remove Bank Angle Sensor 🤔 it's handy if you don't ride with a tether kill switch and the 4RT does not come stock with a tether kill switch.

Another note on the Bank Angle Sensor, I had mine fail on my 2007 4RT so have it bypassed at the moment however if your bike is running fine I wouldn't bypass it unless it is having starting issues and your trying to figure out the root cause.  Good to have in the event you fall off the bike and your wrist strap pops off your hand or snaps and the bike is still running on its side it will stop the bike from running.  In my mines eye unless your riding pro and want to save every ounce you can its not worth it.

The rest of the mods your listing sound more like weight savings advice and are not going to gain you enough to really matter much.  Can you explain why you would want them other than weight?  What would it gain you?

Happy to help where I can just don't want to wast your time or cause you more problems by messing with something that isn't broken or will not gain you enough to be worth the extra hassle if it isn't needed.
