Can Anyone Remember?

I can remember Woodhouse Farm from the early 80's, was one of my favourite venues too. Always remember in A class it was a struggle to get a 175 up "the big red hill". Used to be able to practice there too. Looking on Google Earth, and some recollections of my last times there, think the house was swallowed up by the big pond.

Was talking to somebody a while ago who said the enduro boys were paying silly money (to us tight fisted trialsriders) to compete there. Owner had been approached about holding trials there but asked for the same money as an enduro, making it unfeasible for trials - real shame as it would still be a great venue.

Gaz, I can remember most of those venues too - and you and your Dad (and his beard)! Many memories of you on your Fantic 201. Hope you are well.

What a fantastic range of venues we had to hold events at in those days, pity some are gone now as I am just starting to ride again.

yeah i can remember woodhouse farm too! im the youngest of four brothers so they all rode trials there and so did i with not much luck lol. it was middlesbrough club that ran these trials and it was geoff wright who was club secratary and clerk of the course. if you go to a middlesbrough easy trial now its paul wright that sticks the flags in. and yeah there was a few motocross meetings held thereback in 1999 and they where run by a club called white rose motocross club (i think) and it only lasted a year. i remember the first meeting they held there really well as i knocked myself out in the second race of my class at the top of the first long hill!! went there a couple of years back to a trf meeting but the enduro job was just too boring.

Looks like they're still going pretty well.

Club Link Here (not too good in Firefox)

This was our old club. My dad used to arganise their youth trials along with people like Jimmy Graham, Derek Clarke (and David/Pete), Geoff Wright. Probably some others I forget.

Many a day spent guarding the bikes up Eston Hills :madnoel:

Luckily our pickup looked like it had already been wrecked so nobody ever touched that in the lane near the golf club.
