boofont
Thats a clean bike! Did it take much to get it stripped and painted etc? Been thinking about doing something with mine, I was maybe going to go with the Yam yellow and black.

downunder
Yep looks good.....but......... What happens when the next owner goes along to his local Yamaha dealer and gets in an arguement over them not having the parts I can just see it now.... No, it's not a TY 250 it is an SY 250 . I said a 2003 model not a 1983 model Some poor spare parts guy is really going to suffer because of you Booma

booma
Thanks for all your positive comments guy's as for stripping the bike down it didn't take long the frame was shot blast then powder coated silver the tank and the front mudguard I painted myself with paint from a aerosol the casings were sprayed in Yamaha silver engine case paint. The black fork guards are from Sammy Millers and the stickers I had cut from my local sticker shop, hope this is of help to anybody wanting to have a go at making your bike individual Booma
