Hi From Segovia - Spain: and thanks for the wonderfull time we had in Scotland last month. We are a group of 3 friends that rode the Pre-65 trials from Segovia in the mountains north to Madrid. Of course we did it in Britush bikes.

In fact my friend Mauricio, racing with number 142 rode an historical Triumph that won the SSDT on 1959 rided by Roy Peplow, and the bike is kept pretty original.

I had a wonderfull time riding Mick

Hi Big John, I can remember you and your beautifull bike. At last Jill Andrews was up in the Pipline and told me the gear Mick allways use there with his bike. Sorry but I have to keep it as a little secret.

In fact I can also remember that little japanese with his tiny Honda fighting in the queue.

I am not the man that tryed to buy a Tiger Cub from Alan Wright last year. Actually I own a B-40, Roy Peplow

HOWEVER ( and i can only draw on my feeble memory as the regs have now been withdrawen from the SSDT website) I was of the understanding that bikes had to be of BRITISH MANUFACTURE to be qualified to enter

]

The Scottish Pre 65 2 day event is not restricted to British bikes only as the intention of this event was to creat a feel of the SSDT pre 65 and foreign bikes were part of the scene pre65. It would be a shame if these so called foreign bikes (let's face it they are all foreign from a Scotish point of view)were not allowed as they add much flavor and interest to the trial.

I am waiting for the day that sombody tries to ride the Scotish Pre 65 2 day on a Lambretta!

Well hopefully you will not have to wait much longer. I am hoping to enter the Scottish Pre-65 on an original Lambretta 6-day machine in 2009. It will be the 50th anniversary of the 1959 Alan Kimber Lambretta team entry. I'm hoping to get some practice in during 2008. Any advice on any suitable 2008 venues etc to prepare would be very much appreciated.

Hi Guys,

Hi " Big J".

Was watching the old tape of the scooters in the Scottish a few weeks ago, brings back the Old Days Aye,

Been to the Manx Classic at the week end , Its amazing how the boulders seem the same as in Scotland.

Will try again to post some pictures of the event, when I have time.

Regards Charlie.

Hello,

I'm doing a replica of the 59 machine to ride from the very North of Australia to the very south (6350km in 23 days, with the first 800km on dirt track).

www.lammiedrive.org.au

Is Ludo still with us? I need some info on the machine, especially the exhaust system.

Lastly, an original 1955 Lambretta that attempted the S6DT has surfaced.
