Last year was my first time there and my observations: 1) It's a fair old drive from Barcelona airport 2) It's bloody hot, dry and dusty 3) The hotels are very basic 4) The beer is cheap 5) Prepare to have your car searched at the border on the way out. 6) Cracking place if you want to take photos.
