zootreeves2
Hi, I have a montesa 310 which I used to ride a lot a few years ago, but it has been sitting in my garage since then. I am trying to get it running again but can't remember if it is a 2 or 4-stroke? and what fuel mix? Also I don't suppose anyone knows where i can find a manual for it? spud plark
Check you get a spark. My 310's spark is hardly visible so don't do it in sunlight. But I suspect if you left the fuel on then your carb is probably bunged up with a sticky mess of dried fuel and oil residue. Open up the float bowl and have a look. Try giving it a clean if it's too bad then you can get all the parts from: http://www.dellorto.co.uk/ They were very helpfull with me, excellent service. Best of luck. zootreeves2
I have cleaned the carb and cylinder but I still can't get it to start. The piston and top of the cylinder are all pitted & there is little bits of metal shavings pinting off and stuff. Is this normal for a poston or does it need replacing?
