dave Posted February 15, 2004 Report Share Posted February 15, 2004 Ive just got my new bike and ive bought a sheet of carbon fibre effect technosyl to stick on the side of the frame and swinging arm. I peeled a bit of the sheet back and it does not feel very sticky, what is the best way to stick it down making sure it stays stuck ? beta boy Posted February 15, 2004 Report Share Posted February 15, 2004 (edited) dont bother with that fake stuff it dont stick well and the efect wares off after a while by some reall stuff expensive but looks great and the glue is really thck never wares out and you can spill as much petrol on it as you like and it will not effect it ive even got it on my crankcase and that gets hot but still looks great and hasnt peeled off Edited February 15, 2004 by beta boy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hrc2002 Posted February 15, 2004 Report Share Posted February 15, 2004 No idea what your talking about, but if you want to make something stick, try Evo-Stick which is a contact glue. Apply the glue to the bike and to the stuff your putting on, leave for a few minutes until it is touch dry (done tacky) then join together. It wont come off easily! superflytx270 Posted February 16, 2004 Report Share Posted February 16, 2004 Myself and some of my m8's bought the technosyl stuff and you need to heat it as you put it on to make the adhesive more tacky which when cooled does stick ok.
