beta-boy
well when i was working on my bike i guess there was still some oil in the transmission cause i was working on the clutch and had the bike tipped on its side a bit for a better angle, well i guess i didn't get all the oil out and i noticed when filling the oil that it felt like there was too much in there what should i do drain and re-fill with the correct amount drain a bit and risk having not enough or will it just come out of the vent thanks -Jesse
andy_290
Re-drain and fill with the correct amount mate!
feetupfun
If you are ever unsure, drain and refill. Level too high or too low in service is bad news.
lewis_gasgas
You know you say you tipped it on its side was that to get the oil out ? Because i know most gassers or even all of them have a drain hole/plug under the sump/bash plate have a look and drain it out fully that way first. Then fill it up from the top or side. What bike is it by the way, year ?
beta-boy
yeah after i read it, it didn't make sense either, the bike wasn't warmed up first, and i realised there was still some in there when i went to fill it ohwell i warmed it up drained it and re-filled it before my ride, so its all good
