old trials fanatic
Hi. As some of you know i have started back riding again and i was looking forward to my second trial on Sunday at the Midland Classic Club event at "Rhodesia". Problem is as i am "new" at this i dont know where "Rhodesia" is so if anybody could give me directions from Derby i would be most grateful. I think it's somewhere near Worksop. Sorry to ask but i know some of the riders that go to the Midland classic events look in on here from time to time. Thanks.
trickymicky
I think Rhodesia is signed off the A57 as you are leaving Worksop, heading towards Rotherham. As you go into Rhodesia itself, its a sort of council estate, just drive sraight till you come to a rh bend and the entrance to Bills farm is on that bend. this is off m/classic site-Rhodesia Just North West of Worksop at MR120/798562 Sign posted off A619, Junction 30 of the M1 near Worksop. old trials fanatic
Thanks Trickymicky i will be coming in the other way from J30 off the M1. Lets just hope that nobodys moved the sign Thought there was a problem with the Midland classic site but i think they have a new website with a slightly diferent address and found it now after Googleing for it Totalshell i would dearly love to ride one of your rounds. When i get a bike that is "legal" i will have to make the long journey up there. Must say your site is brilliant and it's amazing how you get not just the results on there by tea time the same day but piccys as well So when Mr Whitton gets his finger out and i get the bits to build my James then my only excuse will be lack of talent cos youre all Trials gods oop there in gods own country and i'm not worthy Thanks for the help and if anybodys going to "South Africa" on Sunday say Hi I'm the old fat bloke stuck under a red B40 Edited June 6, 2006 by Old trials fanatic
dirtrider
Hi If you are coming from the M1 then head straight towards Worksop and look for a left turn on a bend about a mile or so after the Half Moon pub. It is signed from there. Dead easy to find.
old trials fanatic
Brilliant thanks Dirtrider. I really am a bit of an old woman when i've not been to a venue before. Always seem to get lost Usually ok with pubs though So look out for the Half Moon then start braking as the Transit brakes are err "interesting" at the moment Looking forward to it as should be dry and after the Grange Barn slimefest will make a change. Assuming i can find some fork tops as i've just buggered mine up trying to machine some off and went right through. Bugger just have to nick some off the Sherpa temporarily. See you's all there if youre going Sunday
