scoobie
Hi, I'm going to look at one of these on Sunday that's just had a top-end rebuild. Bloke says that when it's been stood for a while the water pump can take a while to get going and is a little 'noisy' at first. Is this correct, or is he trying to hide a problem? Cheers,
sirhc
The water pump? The water pump is connected to a gear off of the crank so as long as the motor is turning over the water pump is turning. He may mean the fan which is on a thermostat and comes on once the motor gets hot. If it needs to be replaced it's not that big of a deal.
