gasgasian
water keeps flooding into my beta' flywheel cover and I just wondered if there was anthing I can do. I have sealed it up with silocone! Edited July 1, 2006 by gasgasian
stevel
My theory is that the water that appears on the inside of the flywheel is condensation from the inside of the motor. I have been through the 'sealing before every trial' route only to find water inside even after a 'dry' trial. Now the practice is to remove the cover after the bike has been washed, spray with a water repellant (WD40) and leave open until the next trial. It seems to work for me, but as usual I'm sure someone else will have a different theory!
lewis_gasgas
think thats only thing you can do spray it and leave it open so it doesnt get loads of condensation.
neonsurge
... i have drilled a hole or two in the bottom of it and slotted them... anything gets in it goes straight back out again. What do you mean "slotted them".... do you have a pic? I've never really had a problem with water in the flywheel cover myself but I'm all for preventative measures!
