mik60ish
Has anyone tried or any knowledge of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TIGER-CUB-BANTAM-OVE...6QQcmdZViewItem As it would be good to have a rear brake that works on my Cub! Or is it me can't seem to get the same purchase with my left foot brake, Iv'e tried getting new linings fitted oversize different compound etc, but rather than ordering these shoes from the UK getting them sent to NZ only to find they don't work either. totalshell
the problem with any drum brake is that the drums that were round in 1965 are now no longer the way to really sort them is to have the drums and shoes machined to match and then your brakes really work.. last had a set done about5 years ago and cost me 20 quid all in for my current cub i use newfren shoes via sammy miller and there ok just bunged them in and rode round with the brakes on to bed them in.. charlie prescott
Hi guys, You wont go wrong buying from Mick, but you may have to skim the shoe's on the back plate as well as the drum to get a good fit but do be carefull with this operation. Regards, Charlie.
