Hull Auto Club – The Sir Arthur Atkinson Cup Trial, Sunday 15th September.

OPEN solo trial for all Adult & Youth ACU licence holders with separate conducted Youth D & E adjacent to the start field.

Hull Auto always runs 3 routes, Expert, Clubman A and easy Clubman B. Intermediates ride a mixture of Expert and Clubman A sections, following the Clubman A route on the harder expert sections.

For the D & E conducted trial, the legendary George McGee runs this course for several clubs in the East Yorks Centre. He is very experienced and has been organising training sessions for youths since the late 80's and marks out according to the skill level on the day. He sets some suitable sections and the youngsters + responsible parents move round with him in a group. Piethorn is a really good venue for this class.
Recently there have not been many entries, so please let us know if you are planning to come so that he does not waste a journey. You'll not regret it as many National level experts have developed in this Centre over the years due to his encouragement.

Flagged from the BATA filling station in Helmsley on the A170 Helmsley to Kirkbymoorside Road, then about 4.5 miles up through Carlton

You may have noticed in TMX that Pickering Club have an easy trial at Cow House Bank on the same road out of Helmsley, about 2 miles before our event. The Hull Auto event will be clearly flagged past their venue to avoid any confusion.
