Once again, the opening trial of 2015 from Lancs County MCC will be a charity event with all proceeds after expenses going to the North West Air Ambulance fund, a charity that benefits all residents of the north west no matter who they are. You can never know when your life will be saved by this great cause.
And a great, new piece of land is on the cards for this four lap, 10 section trial which will be held at Wilson Wood Farm, Bentham Road, Ingleton, LA6 3HR.
This land, which runs adjacent to the River Greta between Ingleton and Bentham features a wooded hillside with loads of roots and rocks and a good variety of bankings alongside the river. Parking is also good and of course catering will be available on the day.
This trial is always run over a single route for all, so it's a good opportunity to compare your final result directly with all other riders. The nature of the trial will be flowing sections on the bankings with some sensible climbs - no sharp drops and no rock steps, so all classes from Youth through to Experts and Veterans will find this a good trial.
Entries will be taken at the start and as a gesture to the previous evening's celebrations, the start time will be 11am.
