LATEST UPDATE. Ther trial should go-ahead without problem, even though the weather is expected to be bad for a couple of days. Obviously the land is very wet but the lads have 10 sections planned that should be usable come what may. It won't the world's best trial(!!) but at least you will be able to get out to blow away those cobwebs. However, parking will have to be on the roadside, so make it neat and tidy please.
The North West Air Ambulance is the charity to benefit from Lancs County's New Year's Day trial which will be held at Craggs Farm, Low Gill, LA2 8RB. Previous problems at this venue with flooded streams should have been overcome this time (if necessary) as section plotter Chris Kirkbride says he has found some different sections should water be a problem.
The format will be the same as usual, with four laps of ten sections with entries taken at the start. Start time will be 11am, half an hour later than normal to allow for a lie in after New Year's Eve. The course will be over a single route as it always is on January 1 - and which proved very acceptable at our last trial on December 13.
