The Scottish Six Days Trial is a true test for man and machine. The rugged rocks and wet conditions didn't make it easy for Top Trial Team/TR1AL rider Jack Challoner who set off the week poorly (to his standards) in 26th position. However, Challoner battled his way back to the front taking 13th place overall at the end of the week.
Challoner's reaction about the 2013 SSDT: "I didn't get the result I wanted. I was aiming for a top five finish and in the end I was 13th. I started off with two slack days of 13 and six which meant playing catch up all week. I was happy with wednesday where I dropped three points but one good day is of course not enough. Even though the sections are not so difficult in the SSDT, it is easy to lose points. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that this has been a great training week to get more used to the no-stop style of riding! I really enjoyed my week having Karl Clark, Ian Austermhule and James Dabill as my riding partners! Massive thanks to everyone at Beta UK for the support and thanks to the organizers for yet another fantastic event!"
