Red Bull athlete and twelve times FIM Trial World Champion Dougie Lampkin has recently returned from a charity mission in Africa, where he joined up with the Two Wheels for Life organisation to train essential riding skills to health workers in the small country of Lesotho.
Motorcycles are a vital form of transport with riders making sure health services and supplies reliably reach people in communities that, because of the extreme altitude, difficult terrain, lack of infrastructure and economic challenges, couldn’t otherwise access even basic healthcare.
On landing back in the UK, Dougie was full of enthusiasm for his African adventure: “Even after riding for more than thirty years I am still finding new ways to challenge myself. Being able to share my off-roading skills with the guys out in Lesotho has been a truly amazing experience and is something I hope I can repeat in the future.”
