Diego Bosis

It is with the deepest regret that we must report the sad passing of Trials legend, Diego Bosis who succumbed to a fatal heart attack this morning.

Aged just 44, the flamboyant Italian who was World Championship runner-up in 1987 and 1990 remained very active on the Trials scene competing in the Italian Championship right up till the end of 2009 and also competed in the 2011 Scottish Six Days Trial. He also remained involved in the sport at a world level in his role of Course Marker for the FIM Trial World Championship.

We're somewhat lost for words at this very sad news. We knew Diego well through the world championship and spent a lot of time with him. He was very highly respected in the Trials scene, always had time to stop and talk and had a fantastic sense of humour. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Short, but nice tribute video...
