Nice in France will be the venue for this year’s FIM X-Trials des Nations on Friday 1st April where Team GB will be looking to improve on last year’s bronze medal finish.
The team selection for the 2016 event will see experienced World Indoor Trials contender James Dabill on his Vertigo machine pair up with the 2015 FIM Youth Trials World Cup Championship Silver medallist Iwan Roberts who is one of Britain’s hottest prospects on the trials scene at the moment on his Beta. The Team GB pairing of Dabill and Roberts will be overseen by Team Manager Dave Willoughby during the event.
Speaking about the team selection, John Collins – Trials and Enduro Chairman said ‘Obviously James is very experienced at these types of Indoor events and has previously competed alongside Michael Brown, but the rules of the competition state that one member of the pairing must be under 23 year’s old. For this reason the Trials and Enduro Committee are delighted to have such highly talented riders as Iwan to be able to call upon and team up with James at the event. We are certain that the pair can produce another result that will hopefully see them challenge for the podium again this year’
