A trial anywhere in October is a gamble but the weather for the final round of the LL&DMC Championship was testing for all riders. With black clouds, torrential rain and blustering winds all the riders smiles stayed firmly on their faces.
The white conducted route again enjoyed their own flowing sections, made even more difficult by the weather. Every rider showed how they had improved during the year by battling through these conditions. Stefan Jones coming out on top, ahead of Daniel Jones followed closely by Will Hughes.
Intermediate and Hard routes shared the wood and stream sections but were carefully plotted out due to the weather forecast. Even in good conditions the off camber woods and tricky stream section was going to be testing. Taking the intermediate win was the ever improving Ryan Moore, followed by Sam Storr and hot on his heels was Alfie Harrison.
For the hard route riders its becoming more and more difficult to set sections out for them as they just keep getting better and better in all conditions.
C Class Hard Route was won by Ben Rimmer.
D Class Hard was a fight to the end as throttle control was key, heading the field was Lewis Hurdsman, followed by Ryan Shepherd and Charlie Crossland.
Rider of the day went to Charlie Crossland who stepped up this year on the Hard Route.
The last round of the championship also doubled up as the club’s trophy trial, where all riders will receive an award in the presentation evening.
The club has seen great numbers enter this year with over 115 entries over 4 rounds, which is un-heard of in the clubs history.
Thanks goes to all supporters, observers, Oset Bikes and AN Richards to make this a year to remember.
