75 riders gathered at the Parkwood Off Road Centre in Tong for the 1st Simon Green Motors sponsored Horsforth Club Championship Trial of the year. No one knew quite what to expect with snow in the air (& on the ground) and a sharp overnight frost but with all the sections, both for the main event and the kids conducted courses, within the shelter of the woods all were cleanable, if a little gloopy in parts. No one managed a competely clean run but on the hard couse Phil Disney came close with a 2 followed by Chris Hunt and Danny Gamble on 5 and 9.
Best results on the middle course were still in single figures, Neil Savage just edging it from Club Captain Howard Gulley, both on 8, with Stuart Hampson on 19.
Closest to the magic clean on the easy course was Rob Bratley on 1, returning to riding after a long spell out recovering from a back injury. Megan Savage just pipped over 50's rider Ian Brogden to 2nd, both on 12.
