Red Rose Classic Motorcycle Club will be hoping for another bumper entry when they stage round two of their club championship on February 15.
The Colne-based club, which caters for pre-65 and drum-braked, aircooled twinshocks, attracted almost 70 riders for their opening meeting of 2015 last month. Red Rose enlisted the help of former world champion Yrjo Vesterinen to help plot the sections, along with club stalwart Chris Riley. This time, Tony Dillon and Carl Winstanley will be the clerks of the course at the popular Warmden Quarry venue, just off the A56 between Accrington and Haslingden.
"We are hoping to get as many riders, if not more, to Warmden, as it's a great place tor trialling," said trials secretary Pete Kenyon. "There's a bit of everything there to test the riders, rocky streams, gulleys, rock steps. You name it, it's there."
Entries close 15 minutes before the start at 10.30, contact Pete Kenyon on 01282 613063, before 9pm.
Note - Red Rose have changed the date of round three of their championship, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at TEG Pendlebury Bait, near Todmorden. This has now been moved forward one week to Saturday, March 7 at the same venue.Nearest postcode is 0L14 7AF.
