The Staffs Moorlands MCC team are pleased to announce that the 2015 Bluestones Cup Charity Trial is all set to take place on Sunday 5th April.
The event goes from strength to strength at the always popular Blackshaw Farm venue, a couple of miles out of Leek on the A53 Buxton road. The venue's popularity is evident from the increasing numbers of riders turning up each year. There's a variety of sections, from the Millstone Grit rocks on the hillside - known as Bluestones, hence the title of the event - to the mud and trees in the wooded area, complemented by the slightly "manufactured" nature of the final sections. There's something for everyone, all topped off by the fact that it's a cracking ride round the lap, of which there will be 3 with 15 sections on each.
The proceeds will be divided in 2 as usual, with landowner and Trialsday proprietor Stu Day opting for "his half" to go to the local Blackshaw Moor 1st School and the "other half" going on this occasion to the Special Baby Care Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
There's always a special atmosphere at this Trial, with plenty of banter amongst competitors, largely due to the Charity status of the event. The club welcome Adult riders in any category (rider or bike), together with Youth A & B Class. Entry will cost £20 in a bid to boost the proceeds for the 2 worthy charities.
