Pegasus MC & LCC made their first visit of 2015 to Castle Bytham for the Director's Shield Trial, which was held over 5 laps of 9 sections. The event started with the presentation of awards from the 2014 season and when the competition started in earnest it was Youth A rider Joe Collins, CTC Gas Gas who put in the day's best performance dropping just 20 marks. Joe managed to negotiate the tight turns and find grip on sections 3 and 4 where others struggled and this is where he stamped his authority. Guy Bradley suffered with machine problems early in the event but put these behind him to be best Intermediate rider on 55.
The middle route proved to be more competitive with John Fox, Beta dropping just 13 marks to claim top Over 40 rider which was just 2 better than runner-up Pete Ablewhite who put in a strong ride on 15, with Alford garage proprietor Steve Marwood on 21. Paul Hedison who had earlier collected the runner-up trophy for 2014 in the Novice class went one better and was best Novice on the day.
Ross Mason took his 250 X-Ride around for just 19 marks to top the White Route. However this was and this was only 56 marks better than Mike Sanderson aboard his Triumph Tiger Cub. Best Youth Beginner was Callum Hedison who continues to improve on his Hedison Motors Gas Gas
