Mixed weather for the Nutexa Trial held at a windswept Addingham Moorside on Sunday. Light rain at the start and a cloudy day with a few sunny intervals had the observers shivering and riders complaining of being too hot! Taking things very steady and going round near the back payed dividends for Sam Beecroft-Penny as he lost only 6 marks and just pipped Sam Yeadon for the win on the championship route.
On the clubman A route a tie decider was needed to decide the winner - with Michael Benn and Paul Kettlewell both finishing on 21 marks lost. Michael got the decision by virtue of scoring 32 cleans to Paul's 30 cleans.
On the clubman B route West Leeds stalwart Mark Chippendale had a comfortable lead to take the win in this class.
