The Isle of Wight motorcycle club held the third round of this year’s Summer Series Championship at Limerstone Farm, Limerstone on Sunday 19/07/15 courtesy of Geoff and Mary Case. The Club would like to thank Geoff & Mary for allowing us to use their land which proved to be a great afternoon – with brilliant weather! Thanks also to the course setters, Stewart Freeman (main routes) and Ross Haydon for the E route – great sections.
Will West once again proved why he is the club expert champion by completing today’s trial without dropping a single mark. Mark Gray took the spoils in the clubman class just ahead of Andy-Scott Jackson – only 4 marks separating these two with Stuart Gummer in third.
Wayne Brodie was back to winning ways today finishing ahead of Paul Kent & Graham Bayton in the novice class – it was the tricky section 4 that made the difference here. Nick Symes took the win in the twinshocks, despite losing three 5’s on sections 3 & 4. Course setter Stewart Freeman took second place.
Jos Wright took a convincing win from Brendon Penn in the Youth Expert class, once again it was section 4 that was pivotal. Well done though to both riders. Harvey Grieve posted an excellent score in the Youth Beginner class, despite riding unopposed Harvey went round for a loss of just 9. Harvey should be really pleased with his performance today. Both E route riders Alfie Haydon & Harrison Crickmore also rode very well today, both completing the trial with the joint second lowest score of only six marks – Well done lads, keep up the good work.
The 4th and final round of this year’s Summer Series will take place on Sunday 9th of August. The venue is still to be confirmed, please check the Club’s website: www.iowmcc.co.uk regularly as it will be updated asap. Hope to see you all there.
