This coming Sunday sees the climax to the RT Keedwell sponsored British Trials Championship with the ninth and final 2015 round at Whitby.

This is a brand new round organised by the Guisborough and District MC and runs under the title of the John Hardaker Trial at Glaisdale, Postcode YO21 2PS. The organisers are looking forward to using this piece of ground for a British Championship venue and they feel that it will be suitably testing event.

As with all British Trials Championship trials it will feature a 9.30 start on Sunday morning.

In the main Championship class James Dabill has already won the contest and he can take the Vertigo into the trial relaxed whilst trying to add a final victory to the series that started in March at Hook Woods.

Behind James though there is all to play for with any number of riders trying to grab the number 2 and 3 plates for the 2016 season. Despite missing two rounds through injury Jorge Casales currently holds second place in the standings but he is only one point ahead of Sam Haslam and four ahead of Ross Danby. Ross has had a better second half of the season and the Jotagas man has shown really good form lately. Just behind this clutch of riders is the spectacular Billy Bolt, Alexz Wigg who was tremendous at the recent Supertrial and Jack Price another of the young riders coming through.

The Championship title may already be won but it is not yet a done deal in the Experts or Youth classes. In the former Dan Thorpe is however in the box seat and anywhere in the top six should be enough to take the title. He is currently 12 points ahead of young Tom Hooper with Jonny Starmer in a fairly safe third place. Hooper has been consistent all year but he is yet to take an event win, maybe this could be his weekend.

Whilst not in the running at the top end of the class look out for Chris Pearson on the Electro motion bike which has proven itself to be an interesting addition to the entry. Chris has scored points at 3 rounds to date.

It has been a demanding year for the Youth A contestants but they have never been less than impressive. Two riders have stood out Toby Martyn and Jack Peace who between them have taken first and second places at every event to date. Toby started with four straight wins before Jack came to the forefront at Neath and Scarborough. Martyn then hit back with top placing at the Edinburgh 2 day event and he now stands in prime position for the Youth title. Sam Johnson sits comfortably in third.
