September 27th sees the last round of this years S3 Trials Championship, in the shape of the Travers Trophy Trial, which is run by the Newcastle and District Motor Club.
As of last year the event will start in the village of Allenheads, on the B6295 north of Cowshill which can be found on the A689 in Weardale.
John Hutchinson is heading the rejuvenated event, and after the huge thumbs up from last years entrants, the trial will benefit with further changes again this year. Permission for new land has been granted in the Harthope area and in order to get the event under way in a gentler way, the course has actually been reversed which will benefit the event in a number of ways. The Clubman Course will again be set out to give non championship riders a great day out, without the need to worry about crashing back down big rock steps and banks.
John had received over thirty entries by the start of August and is hoping to reach his target of 100 riders this year after the positive response he had after last years event, which topped the eighty mark. So if you want to sample some of the best natural sections in Britain, in traditional trials style download an entry here or get on the phone to John.
