Round 3 of the Llangollen and District Championship kicked off in fine weather in Hafod-y-garreg Farm near Glyn Ceiriog, deep in the heart of lomax country. Nevertheless all classes got a taste of the wet stuff with following stream sections and rocks test their ability.
The beginner route riders had smiles on their faces all day even more so because of the stream sections it must be a kids and water thing!!. In 3rd place and his 1st podium for the club was Oliver Awkwright on 21 marks lost, 2nd was Ewan Edwards on 12, and taking the win on 8 marks lost was Rhys Bagnall.
The intermediate route saw deviations from the white and shared one of the expert sections, 3rd on 15 was Dylan Hayes, 2nd an ever improving Harvey Davis losing out on first place with just one mistake on 10 marks lost, leaving 1st for Steffan Jones on 9.
The expert route had sections of their own to further test their ability and challenge them as the riders are all National competitors. 3rd on 36 was Jenson Jones who took it to most cleans, 2nd just taking the place on 20 most cleans was Charlie Crossland, 1st on 26 was Lewis Hurdsman after a disastrous section 3 rolled his sleeves up to narrow the gap on Crossland and Jones. Rider of the day went to Leo Clough his first ride with the club saw him improve on every section, this was sponsored by JSC Construction Huddersfield.
