The experienced North Berks Club ran their season opening 'Wallace Cup Trial' on Sunday. The club ran an elite route with a handful of harder sections for the leading riders. Good to see a GG winner and Wiggy a close third. S3 Round 2 this coming weekend....Colmore Cup Trial. JSTGGUK team rider Dan Thorpe is back from ski-ing and joins Sam and Alexz pushing for top honours..
JST GGUK Rider Michael Brown was in Germany at an indoor Trial at Bielefeld where he finished 6th. Not the result he wanted and was beaten by dare I say lesser riders. Taking the positives Michael was actually happy with his riding apart from two fives and a nasty crash. (knee is fine). There's zero room for error at all indoor trials and its too easy to judge a performance by just the results. After speaking to minder Shaughan Galway he assured me that Michael was ok and slowly getting back to where he should be. Michael is well aware the WTC is only 6 weeks away so a lot of work still to be done.
