Following on from the regulation introduced for 2016 that lanyard cut out devices must be fitted to sidecar outfits, the Trials and Enduro Committee has accepted that for reasons of practicality, such cut out devices are not currently required for machines using four stroke engines with an external magneto.
Penalties for not using a lanyard cut out device on machines which require them are five marks per section in which they are not used, in addition to any marks lost in the section concerned.
