The second trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place today where 51 riders tackled a sunny Stibbington quarry. The conditions were damp and grippy which was a massive difference to the wet and slippery conditions which we set the trial out in on the saturday. This made some of the section a little bit easy but we hope everyone still enjoyed their ride.
The winner of the trial was Gas Gas mounted expert rider Joe Collins who dropped 4 marks from fellow expert Adam Brown who dropped 7 marks. Tom Spencer was next up on 21 marks dropped and winning the youth A class with Luke Hough Whelpton winning the inters on 22 marks.
The 50/50 route was won by John Holland who dropped 4 marks from Martyn Rushbrook on 9 marks and Mick Thurman on 11 marks dropped.
On the middle route over 40 class rider Jim York came out top on his aircooled Yamaha from Fantic mounted Oliver Wareing who dropped 2 marks to take best Twin shock rider on the day. Callum Hedison was best Youth B rider on the middle route dropping 12 marks ahead of of best novice rider Sam Mann on 14 marks and best Clubman Richard Carpenter on 17 marks dropped. Shannon Butler was best youth A on the middle route and Alfred Alderman was best C class on the day.
On the White route Alan Jones came out top dropping 4 marks and pipping Keith Smith by way of furthest Clean with Mick Howard next up on 7 marks dropped.
On the conducted route a superb day with some testing sections. Jake Fraser stayed clean all day with Anthony close behind and Christian having a good day learning new skills on the course.
