Heavy overnight rain made for slippery going at Ashmead Farm, with early morning adjustments having to be made to some of the sections. Wessex visitor Lee Hassal was master of the conditions, beating Western center champion Simon Welch by 8 points, with brother Matthew taking third podium spot. Despite all three routes in all sections being cleaned at least once, there were no single figure totals. Tim Wheeler with 13 lost in the clubman class was nearest. Ray Pekala, back after a break from competition, was best in the Sportsman Plus class while Billie Andrews and Dan England tied on 18 in the Sportsman.
As always a big thankyou to our landowner for use of the excellent venue. Also our appreciation goes to the observers and all hel[pers for making the event a success.
