The sixth round of the Peterborough trials club season took place today where 41 riders tackled a sunny Stibbington quarry. The conditions were dry and dusty which made a few of the tighter cambered sections tricky and one section needing to be modded for the yellows but we hope everyone enjoyed their day. Barry Craig kindly donated a bottle of wine for an observers raffle which was won by Tom Spencer who observed section 8.
The winner of the trial was Sam Gent who dropped 3 marks with Billy Craig very close behind him losing 4 marks. The best intermediate rider was Kieran McDaid who finished on 26 marks with Kieren Radley second in the class on 55 marks dropped.
The 50/50 route was won by Martyn Rushbrook dropping 7 marks on his Gas Gas. The next three positions on the 50/50 route were closely fought between twinshock riders with Roman Kyrnyckyj riding an SWM finishing second on 18 marks dropped, ahead of fantic mounted Mick Thurman on 20 marks and Martin Bone next on 22 marks riding a Yamaha.
On the middle route twinshock mounted Olly Wareing dropped 7 marks to take the route win, ahead of over 40 class rider Jim York dropping 15 marks. Sam Mann was best novice rider on 53 marks dropped with Alfie Ray Turner Taking the C class win on 65 marks dropped.
The white route was won by Steph Tombling who dropped 4 marks with Barry Craig finishing second on 9 marks and Gary Hall was third on 13 marks dropped.
It was a glorious day of trials for conducted route consisting of Jake, Anthony and Christian on their Osets. A good mix of sections and fun had by all. All riders competed well with Jake and Anthony close on marks dropped and Christian improving all the time.
Massive thanks to everyone who turned out today especially those that observed we hope to see you all on the 25th September for the Autumn Trophy trial at Stibbington.
