This coming weekend we see the Guisborough & DMCC host round 8 of the RT Keedwell sponsored British Trials series.
This is the John Hardaker Trial and is running on Sunday 28th August at Mountain Ash Farm, Glaisdale. YO21 2QA with the usual start time of 9.30. The trial will follow the standard Championship format with three laps of 12 sections.
There are still four rounds to go including this weekend and there is still plenty to play for although two of the three classes have clear leaders at present.
In the main Championship James Dabill holds a 39 point advantage over Jack Price with Jack Sheppard running third. Michael Brown is currently fourth having had a run of results which would not have been to his liking. A superb display at last weekend’s North Berkshire Supertrial could fire Michael up once again in the BTC.
A big battle is currently going on in the Expert Class where the experience Dan Thorpe is locked in competition with young Tom Minta. Minta since changing to Gas Gas has taken victory in the last two rounds at Hook Woods and Butser Limeworks and is currently on a roll. Behind the leading duo Tom Affleck holds a good third position from Joel Edwards.
The Youth A section has been dominated by Jack Peace and like Dabill he has won all seven rounds to date in his class. So far no one can get close to him, although steady performances from Keiran Child and Josh Hanlon see them comfortably running second and third.
