Reasons To Be Cheerful At MRS

emma bristow mrs storyEmma Bristow has sealed her third Women's World title since joining the MRS TeamIt's been a very busy few weeks for all the MRS Sherco team riders throughout the summer.   Jonathan Richardson took a brilliant win in the Reeth Three Day Trial, immediately following his extreme enduro activities at the Rumaniacs, proving that when it comes to partnerships Jonathan really does gel with his Sherco.  This was quickly followed by James Fry winning the S3 Championship, dominating the series and winning every round to date.  He was followed by MRS  rider Luke Walker who finished 2nd and Sherco die-hard Chris Pearson who came in 3rd overall.  Strangely this was the same trio who dominated the 2015 series but in a different order with Chris Pearson winning, Luke coming second and James 3rd  proving that in this popular of series Sherco is really a force to be reckoned with.

AT the same time James was taking the S3  title Emma Bristow took a superb fourth British Championship for MRS and Sherco winning all rounds she competed in, only missing the round which clashed with one of her favourite events, the Reeth Three Day Trial.  Donna Fox upped her game coming in third  in what was turning out to be a very good year for the Yorkshire lass. Also making improvements Victoria Payne is lying in a good 5th position.

In the British Expert Championship Emma was very much holding her own, taking a great 6th place at Hook Woods to keep her in 8th position overall in the series.  That is a superb testament to both her dedication and skills as she has certainly really upped her game in this championship this year with some excellent  results.  MRS/Cloburn rider Tom Affleck is  lying in 3rd position, having put in some very consistent results and its fingers crossed he can keep this going through the remaining three rounds.   James Stones is  currently lying in 7th place, having ridden only four of the eight rounds and with his ability it’s a real pity he wasn’t able to contest all the rounds.

On to International duties and with some excellent domestic results under her belt Emma once again retained the Ladies World Championship , one of the  three world titles she has won for Sherco.  This was followed last weekend with her retaining her World Team Trial Championship at the Ladies TDN where she put in a storming performance along with Sherco rider Donna Fox.  Donna has come on in leaps and bounds this year and fully deserved this great success, always with a smile on her face and thoroughly enjoying her sport as always.

In the B Class British Championship young Oliver Smith is having an excellent year on his Sherco and is currently lying in 2nd position with Chris Slack in 3rd whilst west country rider Toby Churchill is lying 5th overall after taking his first podium at Butser Limeworks back in July.  With some way to go now to finish the 2016 season MRS are very much focussing on the upcoming Scott Trial and their Annual Sherco Open Day, which they will be issuing details for in the next few days.
