The seventh and final trial of the Peterborough Trials Club Championship took place on Sunday 25th September where 38 riders tackled 5 laps of 8 sections at Stibbington Quarry. The day started wet and slippery from overnight rain but soon dried.
The winner of the trial was Tom Ablewhite who dropped 0 marks to finish ahead of Kieran McDaid who was best Intermediate dropping 17 marks. Mick Thurman was the best 50/50 route rider today who dropped 9 marks and beating by way of furthest clean Martin Bone who also dropped 9 marks. Olly Wareing was next up dropping 14 marks.
On the middle route Andrew Atkin came out on top overall and in the over 40’s dropping 6 marks ahead of fellow over 40 riders Jim York and Steve Neale who both dropped 7 marks but Jim had the furthest clean. The best B newcomer was Callum Hedison on 28 marks dropped who was followed by best C class rider Alfred Alderman on 42 marks dropped. The best Novice rider was Robin Davis on 51 marks dropped and the best twinshock rider was John Haynes on 54 marks dropped.
On the white route Mike Sanderson took top spot on his Triumph Cub dropping just 2 marks ahead Bob Wright on 5 marks and Barry Craig on 8 marks dropped.
A great trial on the conducted route, Anthony and Christian Piper Martin Tackled a range of sections while Jake fraser unfortunately retired.
