Harston Nr Grantham was the venue for Pegasus MC & LCC’s annual Autumn Cup Trial. Heavy overnight rain played a part in making a few of the sections harder than intended especially in the early stages. However, when the 5 laps of 9 sections had been totalled Sam Gent, Beta, took the main award dropping a very impressive total of just 7 marks. The Bown family from Chesterfield were well represented on the hard route with Matt, Jess and Jim occupying the next 3 finishing places.
Riders in the Over 40 class dominated the middle route where Dan Ledger, Andy Butt and Steve Marwood claimed the top 3 positions. Callum Hedison was top Youth B/C finisher on his Sherco just ahead of best Novice Dan Duffin.
On the white route Mike Sanderson on his Pre 65 Triumph Tiger Cub showed the modern bikes the way around to top the route. Ian Breakwell was the best Adult Beginner.
Special mention must go to Alfie Ray Turner, Alfred Alderman and Jacob Potts, all 80cc Beta powered, who battled through some tough sections to completed the event – Well done to them all.
