The final trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place at Stibbington on Sunday with 47 riders turning out on a warm sunny autumn day. The day started with the trophy presentation and the awards being handed out to this season’s winners and once again congratulations to all those that got awards.
The trial started promptly after and on the hard route Tom Ablewhite on his Sherco came out on top dropping 1 mark ahead of Sam Rolls travelling up for the first time dropping 17 marks. Martyn Rushbrook was next up dropping 38 marks and winning the intermediate class on his Gas Gas.
On the 50/50 route Mick Thurman took the win on 10 marks dropped with Shane Harvey finishing second on 31 marks dropped.
On the middle route Pete Ablewhite came out top dropping 9 marks only and winning the over 40 class from clubman rider Edward Jones who dropped 10 marks. Third place went to twinshock Yamaha mounted Martyn Snutch who dropped 19 marks. Best B newcomer went to Fraser Arden who dropped 24 marks, Mark Dixon was best Novice on 36 marks and Alfred Alderman was best C class on 78 marks dropped.
On the white route Keith Wakefield came out top dropping 4 marks ahead of Peter Yarham on 5 marks and Mike Sanderson on his Cub on 8 marks dropped. The best youth rider on the white route was Toby Shaw on 65 marks dropped with second place youth rider Ryan Brown Jr next along on 71 marks dropped.
A great trial for the conducted riders with Anthony and Christian very pleased with their trophies after a great years riding, then the trial itself with Anthony dropping 6 marks and Christian dropping 23.
